Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

WELL I SET OUT TO INSTALL MY NEW 4'' SPRING LIFT ON SATURDAY(HAD A 4'' BLOCK LIFT ALL THE WAY ROUND )AND AFTER BREAKING LOOSE ALL OF THE OLD RUSTY BOLTS (CUTTING SOME)AND REMOVING THE STEERING ARM (TOUGH) I FOUND THAT MY OLD SPRINGS WERE 47'' EYE TO EYE AND MY NEW SPRINGS WERE 42 1/2'' EYE TO EYE. BEFORE I HAND SOMEONE THEIR ASS TOMORROW I SHOULD CHECK TO SEE IF ITS ME. WHEN I BOUGHT MY 4 X 4 I WAS TOLD IT IS A 1970 WITH A 67 CAB AND 71-72 GRILL. I WAS WONDERING IF MY LEAF'S ARE THE CORRECT LENGTH FOR A 67-72 4 X 4 . ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

I jsut measured mine on my 71 SWB and I got approx. 44" from the middle of the front eye to the middle of the back eye. That is with them on the truck, so it wasn't that easy to measure.

Mudder has a short step on a later chassis, you may try contacting him. He may be able to give you some hints as to what year you have.

hey mudder, i found the date stamp on the frame-1973!!!! i reordered my lift springs and ordered pearches from lmc to replace my rusted rears.(73 and later were still availible from lmc). I should be busy this weekend installing the new lift kit and some other toys. I'm starting to get busy on the truck now so i will have to update some pictures next week. thanks for the help.
