4WD Warning Light
Hi,
I have a 99 Blazer LS. Right now I have a warning light on my dash - 4WD Service. Before I take it in to have it looked at, can anyone tell me what it might be? Thanks for your time. Regards, Craig |

Hey Craig!
Is the ECM giving any codes? With a 99, there are a large number of things that could be at fault, and not many guys here (myself included) will know exactly what could be wrong...

I have a 2000 Blazer and mine did the same thing last fall. I figured something was stuck so I kept engaging and unengaging 4WD and even went in reverse a long distance and eventually it went off. No, problems since.

When my 2001 HD did it about a year ago. The GM dealer replace the 4WD switch on the dash and said it's common. I guess they replace quite a few of them. A friend of mine also had the same thing go bad on his 2000 Chevy 1500 4x4. Jason
