Full floater 12 bolt
I read an install article on warns floater kit. And an idea for a full floater 12 bolt came to me when I was rearanging my axle pile.
Wondering what yall think. I have spindles and hubs from two dana44s. If I can bolt those spindles to my 12b axle flanges that would take care of the bearings and hub. It would also give me rear disc since the mounting bracket goes behind the spindle and everthing will line up as far as the calipers and rotors are concerened. Another big benifit would eliminating the need for c clips to hold the axle and wheel. I have a trashed 12b I can experiment with. From the article I read I'll have to saw the ends of the axle off flush with the flange. All the parts are on hand and would be free except for one (not so)minor detail. The axle shafts themselves. Dont know what kind of dent a custom set of shafts would in my wallet. If anyone has tried anything like this or can think of something I'm overlooking or just to give me an opinion please let me know. Looking forward to yalls input.

seems like for the price of those axle shafts you could buy a 14bff.
But it would be different. let us know how it goes |
