Leftovers

Well, I took the 472 to the junk yard today...got a whopping 5 bucks for it and a few other items.
Here is everything I kept...
Both heads...might be junk
Torque Converter
TH400 with a real long tailshaft...might be junk too
Valve covers...smothe look, better then the 425's
Intake...no EGR valve
Oil pump..why not?
Fuel pump...ditto, why not?
Fly wheel...any one need it? Real cheap.
Exhaust manifolds...key items for the swap
Alt...better looking than the huge one off the Pontiac engine
Starter...Kinda important too
Cross member...Caddy type maybe? It was in the burb the engine came out of..
And 2 hub caps full of crap.
Not too shabby IMO.

It is impossable to tell a 500 from a 472 from the outside...
So every 472 is a 500, just like every mystery small block is a 350, and every 327 is a corvette 327.

Man! No offence but I wish I had as much time as you, I picked up my 500 w/t400 in early april and it is still sitting in the garage...Hell!, I'm still trying to gather parts for my disc swap. Oh well...

If I got off this friken puter once in a while I'd have 10X more time.
Things are going MUCH slower than they did back in the non-computer days.
