I know somebody will be interested in these
My friend bought a 72 one ton at an estate sale. All he wanted was the 402 Big Block. what he has up for sale is the complete one ton disc front end and the eaton dual wheel rear end. the rear end has a suffix code of G which usually means posi. at least it does now in the present. he wants $ 100. dollars for the complete front end and $200. for the rear end. he will not ship. No time. I have dibs on the other parts. what i don.t use I will probably sell at a later date after i get it stripped. I don.t know what the ratio is.I do believe the four speed tranny is up for sale too. please reply here so i can keep every body in order. Thank.s

Hi Kurt no this is a different friend. I haven,t told him yet that this one has the bell housing that he needs. i will keep you posted. my friend will probably sell the whole thing as a rolling chassis. minus the doors and the power brake booster guage cluster I have dibs on those. I have no use for a one ton setup all he wants is the motor.

yes the front end is one hundred. what I meant was he doesn.t want the truck he will sell what is left. I know i am probably clouding the issue. but if somebody needs a one ton frame -cab for parts- etc -etc he will sell them. I would hate to see it go to make ricer parts.

I guess i have put my foot in it. When we discussed it yesterday my friend asked what people would be interested in. I told him the front and rear ends. It was my idea to see if anybody wanted to buy the frame and what is left. I know he will sell it. my problem is i should never had said a rolling chassis. kurt VT blazer wants the front end. And i will abide by the code of conduct of the board the person who asked first gets first dibs. if kurt backs out you are second. I will ask him tonight what he wants for everything that is left. it probably would have been smarter for me to list it as a rolling chassis to begin with. I guess i have a little left to learn. SORRY I will keep you posted. ME.

Kurt in your case it would be $400. including the front end you want. cpne it would be $300.minus the front end kurt wants. the cab needs work in the usual places (rockers-cab corners-drivers floor ) it.s a high hump the front and rear glass are decent. few scratches on the front one I took some pics of it today. I guess it is time to learn how to post pics . I will try tomorrow or throw the comp. out the window from frustration. I think he told me the truck only has 57 thou. original miles on it but don.t quote me on that. the mirror on the doors go with the truck i just want the doors.

Hey Lou,
I would buy the front end if those ahead of me decide not to. Thanks, Norris

Next question: Is this a 133" wheelbase or 157" wheelbase 1 ton?

While you're checking, can you find out what size tires/rims are on the rear and if they are split rims or not?
Is GVW 10000 lbs? Thanks

What is 'exactly' up for sale here? A roller minus doors and interior parts? Will the drive train be complete? Will it include a front clip? Sorry, Lou just trying to get on the same page... |
