71 Relay?

The relays are located under the hood on the driver's side near the top of the cowl. I've been told several different things, but I figured someone on the board knew for sure. Thanks in advance and are the relays neccessary?

The relays are part of the TCS system, (Transmission Controlled Spark) and presumably by now everything has been jumpered out. If you remove them I would suggest pulling the harness as it is completely separate from the main harness. The engine will run just fine without the relays as they controlled when the vacuum advance would work.
