Trans Transfer Mount - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a 69 K-20 and the only mount for the trans to crossmember is the one under the adapter between the 2 gearboxes. ( Rubber cushion mount).
Should there be anything else for mounts to the transfercase maybe?? The truck only has the side mount motor mounts towareds the front of engine and not the bell mounts like some 2x trucks have.

What about the side mount on the t-case that goes to the frame rail?

You need a set up like this....newer model transfer cases of the NP205 didnt have the holes in them to use this mount.

My truck has a 205 transplant so I guess I need a set up as shown. The transfercase I have has holes but needs to be tapped out,, ( I assume)??? It figures there should be something there.

Brackets should abound in good size junkyards. The torque bushings and tranny xmember rubber mounts are even available in poly from Energy Suspension.

The crossmember looks different than mine. I guess because it had the Rockwell 221 transfer. It mounts to the bottom frame rail. Oh well, a little fab work and I should have it.

If you're using the stock trans-to-NP205 adapter, you could pick up a wrecking yard crossmember from an NP205 equipped 6?-72 GM 4x4. Should be able to get one on the cheap, since they're not rare items.

The crossmember that was underneath my 465/221 was reused with the NP205. Just had to move it back a few inches. Not sure if they are the same, but it worked just fine. My Rockwell also had a torque mount on the frame that I am going to reuse with the 205, it looks identical to the NP205 version.
