blazer sides

i was wondering if i get a blazer that needs the bedsides replaced if i could buy shortbox pickup sides and trim off some in the front and weld them in or would i have to take a section out behind the wheelwell too??

I have heard that short box bed side can be made to work on a Blazer. I think WES knows for sure.

Yep, from what I've read on the boards, just cut in front of the wheel well. It makes sense too.

i figured as much but i dont have a blazer yet ( i looked at one that needs a major rebuild ) i do have a swb truck but there is no box on it. I will post some pics of the blazer when or if i end up buying this gem so you guys will see what i mean by major it may end up just being a parts rig its hard to tell untill i get it apart but the price is right. Thanks for the info

Blazer bed sides

Take a look at my pictue link in my sig. I used some longbed sides to replace mine. Got the whole bed for $300 and it was in great shape. The pictures kind of follow the process for both sides.
