Egr Trouble
I recently dropped a remanned 350 in my '86. replaced the factory carb w/ a edelbrock 600 w/ elec choke. I got the "egr" intake but now when I go to bolt it on the egr hits the carb. I just have a plate over the hole for now but inspection is coming up & I will need the emissions crap on.... so any suggestions? anyone heard of an "adapter plate" that would angle the egr more? Thought about having our machienist make me one, just wondered if anyone else has had this prob. So......any ideas?

Edlebrock makes an adapter plate. If you need one I can sell you one CHEAP! Let me know if you want it and I'll dig it out...

that would be cool, how much you talking? Guess I didn't look hard enough. Just asked the guy @ auto zone...he just looked at me funny, go figure. My zip is 16145, I've never bought anything off the board yet, how do we do the payment & shipping?
BTW: thanks for the quick reply. |

If for some reason the Edelbrock spacer doesn't work out I think I might have a factory spacer you could have but I'd have to dig it out...

There is a factory spacer that is about 3/8'' thick.

I don't know, I'll have to look again, it seems to me I thought the plate would have to be angled slightly to miss the choke, but I havn't messed w/ it for a while, I'll check it out.

Yeah, the spacer has to be offset. I'll look for the adapter I bought from edlebrock, how's $15 + shipping sounds.
