Stepside progress
Starting to reassemble the old stepside
Was going red but had most of the blue interior parts so ended up going silver. Not my favorite color and a real pain to paint but hopefully I will like it better once it is buffed out. Lots of metal flake in it.Will get the front and rear glass in this week and the side windows so at least I can start putting in the interior pieces then. Any way on to the pics!

Also got the door seals in today so I have a bungee cord holding the doors closed to try and keep some pressure on them so when I mount door latches and handles they will be some what compressed.

No offense to the "silver" fans but blue would have won me over. I painted 68 Cutlass silver back in the 80's so I equate that colour with parachute pants and Duran Duran. ...or was I just ahead of the curve again
FYI, that side mounted spare makes up for it though. Good work! Here's a 71 in Med Blue. Food for thought.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Would like to get some blue on it for some kind of 2 tone . I just haven't found a paint scheme for a 2 tone stepside that I like. My wife saw it and asked me if I was finally getting the primer on. Man that hurt!!! All she knows is primer is gray so I couldn't fault her. The primer was almost an exact match and that really made it tough to see where I had sprayed, short of the metallic
