Removing dash light switch
OK guys, I need some help. I know to remove this there is a little button you have to reach up and depress before removing the light knob. Question though is what to do when this fails. I have been messing with this thing for two days, and I can get that little button to depress but it just won't release the knob (so my gauge cluster can't even be removed!) Almost seems like there is play in the button, because I can get it to wiggle back and forth. Kinda makes me wonder if it's not depressing all the way.
What is the backup plan besides just busting off the knob and buy a whole new switch? |

Did you pull the knob out all the way before pushing the little button? Disconnect the battery before this so you will have no power troubles. I didnt know this little tidbit of info until I spent two hours trying and five minutes here reading
