Exclamation Requesting a Measurement

Hello all! Curious if anyone knew the length of a stock one-piece drive shaft....or if someone would be willing to measure one and let me know. I cut mine down to fit a 700R4, now I need a stock one again. Thanks in advance!! Tim

Your signiture says SWB, so now all we need to know is what tranny is the 'stock' one.
Powerglide
TH350 (short or long)
TH400 (short or long)
3 speed manual
4 speed manual
I'm not 100% certian, but I think it matters if the rear is coil or leaf spring.

Longhorn...I am not sure how to answer this. I bought my truck with a 350/350 combo already in it and the driveshaft was laying in the cab cuz they towed it with a dolly. I was assuming that was the stock drive shaft for that truck, but I could be wrong. So, I will just have to assume that whatever V8 combo that '68's came out with, that this would be the driveshaft for that application. I used mine as a "core" when I had my new one built for the 700R4, so I don't have it anymore, and I didn't measure its overall length. Anyway, I lost reverse in my R4, so I was gonna stab that Turbo350 back in there for now, if I could find another shaft. If anyone is is running a 350/350 combo (pretty sure it is a short tranny) with a one-piece drive shaft and a coil spring rearend, please shoot me some measurements. Much appreciated! Hope this helps!
