Soft top holds water......
Getting WET.... raining everyday in Tallahassee....
My top is in ok shape, less than half of if its life gone, I guess........ But it holds water right over the doors and floods when you open them. Thinking of adding some ribs to the top or fashioning a support off my roll bars. Any Suggestions. |

yeah my soft top did the same thing...
Kinda poor design around the doors. I've not seen them all but all the soft tops that I have seen are not 'replacements' for the hard top, just something to keep the sun off/weather out sorta. |

I have the older style besttop that peaks in the center. That way the water doesn't lay on it.I don't even have a hard top.

Has anyone ever taken their softtop to an auto interior shop and asked them to stitch in lightweight plastic ribs or something similar? I have a puddle problem in the back area, behind the center support bar.
If some upholstery shop put some time into it, I bet they could come up with a better system than what is currently available. But who knows...

Solution
Beach Towel folded into a 12x12x3" shape, laid on top of the center rollbars. No more wet Josh....... Kinda makes it look goofy and sure it will speed the stretching of an already tired top.
