It's a stock carrier... but I don't think that it is mounted in the stock location. Unless they changed in '72, it should be mounted more to the left behind the driver.

I agree when prices are $20K plus buyers are real limited. My comment about $10k stands. Bring me your trucks like this and I will see you at Barrett-Jackson later. I'll be the one with all the $$ sticking out of my pockets at the end of the day. Many of us realize what it takes to restore cars/trucks. Some more than me. If you want something and can find it in the condition that fits your taste and is less expensive than what it takes to put one together its something to consider. May of us enjoy the pride of building, etc., that is another subject. I am not too proud to find a really nice one close to my likings and with a little work make it suit me, especially at a lower cost. I could be out enjoying several I've passsed up in the past, I have several regrets. I'm not typically a buyer-reseller its not my style. My dreams do change and homelife infuluences hobbies. With that said it would be hard to pass on a good deal of a restored truck at sellers price if I could enjoy it for a while and then take it to market. My grandfather raised cows, I don't have a farm. I know the market for these trucks in my area pretty darn well and feel this truck is worth way more than $10K. IMHO

thanks for the info. I have four holes in the floor behind the back seat on the Drivers side (there are stock looking nuts welded in underneath). I was wondering if those were for a spare tire carrier. Are they the same for 69-72?

I believe so... however, the location of the spare depended on what seating option was ordered. If there was no back seat, the spare was mounted directly behind the driver’s seat.

I see the reserve's been lowered, looks like it will be a bidding war. As a previous board member said, you can't build one that nice for that price. This will be fun to watch.

This discussion is a prime example of the factors that influence the used vehicle (collector cat. or not) market.

There is a concept that states "Money talks and bull@%#^ walks." (another concept that you do not need to actually own a farm to understand)

The only persons that matter re: this particular vehicle are those that are ACTUALLY and materially involved. In other words, those that are willing to put their money where their respective mouths are. Everything else, my comments included, is all gadfly conversation.

It would be great if this truck sells for much more than I (who again, am the only one that has actually put my own eyes on it so far) think it is worth. If someone buys into the IMO erroneous principle that vehicles are an "investment", catches Blazer fever, and buys it...I wish him all the happiness that paying over market value (this market is in Lousiana...45 minutes from me) can offer an enthusiast.

If any of the members of this board are interested in this truck, I would strongly recommend that they actually put their own eyes on it before they do anything.

If it does go for a bunch of money, I am more interested in who buys it. Even though buyers like that are born every minute, it is hard to locate them when you need them. Although there is always a high concentration of them annually at the BJ auction in Arizona.

Yes, I know that "BJ" has multiple meanings. In this case I think that it is appropriate

If anyone is certain that they can flip this truck and make a bunch of $$$, I will put my $$$ where my mouth is and finance the deal. I will require collateral, but if it's such a sure thing there should be no reservation in putting one's home or other real property at risk.
