How can I lift the front?
Hi,
Alright, now that I am gona change the front disc, end and suspension I like to level my dropped nose!. From the info you guys gave me, part of it is the design of these trucks and I think part of it could be old shock/springs. Since I like the stock hights or just a little higher I don't want to drop the rear unless I have to therefore I need some advise how to lift the front 1 or 2 in.I was wondering if just taller shoch do the trick. I looked at different catalog and websites, I didn't se anything that i could use. Also for the rear I didn't see any 1 in drop coils, they are 2 or more in which I think is too much for me. It is 3/4 ton, 2w. I don't tow very heavy stuff often. thanks. |

I have 3/4 ton,2w, 350 engine, 3 on the tree, no ps nor a/c. Coil spring front and back. Coils look pretty old looking and sagging. Front tires are 31 and rear 33 (I guess that is some of the difference). What else? I just want to level the truck without changing the height. Also I have one more question now: is coils are changable between C10 and C20? I know as far as heavy duty stuff they are different but I mean as far as height and diameter. I don't mind to improve the quality of ride. The other hing came to my mind was using 4w coils, aren't they taller? Thanks.

You could always use the front coils from a C30 truck, they'll give you about a 1 to 2 inch lift. I have also seen trucks with the twist-in spacers stuck in the coils too, which is easier than changing the springs themselves. You can't lift it too much though, or it will mess up your wheel alignment.

One ton coils is about as good as it'll get.
4 wheel drives had leafs up front. As far as the coil interchaingability between 10 and 20 series, yes, they swap out no problem. |

put some 33`s on front,and some h/d `new`front coils(like from moog,and be sure and ask for heavy duty if offered)with some good shocks like monroe magnums.as for now,leave the rear alone except for maybe some shocks.if still not level,they make a coil spring apparatus that you can either clamp together the coil(lower) or open the coil(raise) to your specification or whatever needs to be done
