Hub Caps Gmc Dog Dish

i know they came off of a 72 gmc but i think they are older than that. they have been painted black. need to be cleaned and repainted but they are in good physical shape not dented and beat up. i do not know what they are worth so i am negotiable but i would start at $50.00

Are they for a 1/2 or 3/4 ton?

Measure 'em. If they're 10" across the back they're for a 1/2 ton, about 12" and they're for a 3/4 ton.

Were they black in the center and convex(outty)? That would make them 69-72(if 3/4t).Were the whole caps painted black,or the centers? The 1/2 ton caps measure 10 3/4" across outside. They were all covcave(inney)and bright centers.

hubs

they were on my grand pops truck when i was a way little boy so i do not remember if they were always all black or if he painted them. they have been in a garage since 75 when he passed away because thet is when my pop put new wheels and tires on the truck. they are 10 3/4 so it was a half ton truck. to be honest with you looking at them just brings back memories and makes me sad so i really want to move these. my brother said he is not positive but if they were not always black then they might have been white with the gmc in red writing but papa had 3 trucks and he dosnt remember either. is a full set of 4.

So we`re looking at (dirty)shiney black and not chrome?I think we all think they look chrome in the picture. If they are the chrome(stainless)caps they`ll be unpolished metal on the back.If they were the painted steel, they would have originally been white and hane a light coat of white on the back.Along with some light rust more than likely. The letters were red originally.

I just bought some. These could be easily stipped(chemical),polished, and detail-painted with a little masking and spray-bomb.Not a common find.
