73-80 clear side markers

i thought these were rare to find, but it's not a new item at brothers? clear side markers for a 73-80.

Its the clear tail lights that are rare These clear side markers are actually DOT approved, and so they are totally legal to run on your rig. There is a forum member who has these as well, and I think he has them cheaper too...

i see, i don't have a square body anymore, but i remembered one of them were rare. guess it was the tails. i still have never seen these in pictures or around here.

I'm pretty sure the clear side markers just came out at the beginning of this year, because I was looking for them forever before that. As for as being dot legal, the package they came in said for off-road use only, but I just put an amber bulb in and drive it like that on the street. One other thing that threw me off is that the ones I got were mislabeled on the back, where it says LH top is really RH top and vice-verse. I imagine most people wouldn't bother looking at it though, since it's pretty obvious which way they go in.

What I'm wondering about is if those bulbs that have a chrome coating look any good or not. I can see the amber bulbs inside the clear side markers if I look at the right angle and I want them to not be visible.

tips

there are only 2 things that you can do with those, first, find a silver paint marker and cover the top section, second, if you look hard on ebay, they make a chrome tipped bulb that is chrome looking until the flashers are activated...hope this helps

Go to CLASSICPARTSDEPOT.COM a pair is only $20. I bought some armrests for $18 each. Very CHEAP prices!

ok great guy but what about the marker light that run horizontally those are vertical i want clear one on my 86 to (front and tail) where do i find them please help

86.. those are very common. they have them in every catalog i own. chevy duty, lmc truck, year one...
