vapor lock i think
the 305 in the 69 was tired so i put the 350 outta the 72 i wrecked in the 69.it runs real good except after about 30 min it just bogs and skips at the least touch of gas pedal.it is real hot here and some one told me it sounded like it was vapor locking.what do you think if so what can i do about it. thanks

well the first thing to check is the fuel line from the pupm to the carb , it should not be in contact with the engine block,it should stand off from the block 3/8inch at least for it's whole length

Its been 95 -100 f here in illinois, & that was edlbrock acting up like that. I added a 1 inch, 4 hole plastic insulater spacer under the carb,& she straightened up..... L

vapor lock
I would also check the rubber line going from the tank to the fuel line .Mine use to do that and the hose was flatting out when it got going good.Took me a while to figure that out.

I have been fighting a vapor lock problem in my truck for a long time. I will have to check my rubber line.

thanks everybody i will check the line from pump to carb.if i rember its real close to the block and intake
