3-speed column shift lever

This may sound silly, but the 3-speed manual column shift lever in my '67 seems shorter than the lever in later trucks. I haven't measured it, but am fairly certain that the '69 (?) and up lever is longer. If so, I would like to swap to the longer lever - will they interchange? Also, is there a difference between manual and automatic levers for these year trucks? I am assuming that if I can find a longer lever, I can just drive out the roll pin, remove my old "short" lever and install the longer one. The linkage works fine and seems to be in great shape.

Thanks again for any help. I'm glad to have found this Board!

Yes they are the same. Automatic and manual levers fit the same. However Tilt column shifters are different.
