Another Rear Rollpan question (fleetside)

I feel stupid for asking this but I'm stumped.

I have a rollpan for my blazer that I started to install. I took the tailgate off so that I could weld this baby in and noticed that there might be a big problem....

.... (I didn't weld it in yet.... just screwed it in).

...... There doesn't seem to be a way to get to the bottom trunioin (sp?) bolt for the tailgate bracket if the rollpan is installed.

I don't want to weld this sucker in if I can't remove or replace the tailgate.

Am I missing something? Can you guys that have installed a rollpan tell me how to remove the tailgate (bottom bolt) after it's welded in?

I had the same problem and decided to cut a rectangular piece out of the roll pan so I could get a wrench on the trunnion bolt, although you won't be able to turn it much at a time.

Same here. It makes it slower to get the tailgate off but I don't really take mine off that much for it to matter!

Same here. You have to modify it, or not take the gate off.
