Brake help

I just droped in my power brake booster, using the stock MC. The problem is that the push rod from the booster to the MC is too short( see pic) It measures 2.5" I am thinking I need a 3" rod. is this someting I can find at a parts store or dealer?
If so what is the proper name for this thing and what am I looking at in costs?

What was the booster out of? The one I used had a 1" round piece on the end of the pushrod that went inside the booster. Mine was out of a 72 GMC 1/2 ton.

That looks nothing like mine. If you pull mine out of the booster it's about 4-5" long with tip that screws on to allow for adjusting the length.
