Antenna to mount on fender tricks?
Right now my 79 has a windshield antenna but it has a crack so I'm going to have to replace it sooner or later. The fenders I'm going to use on the refresh of this truck has a crude cutout. My previous expierence with these fender mounted antennas always comes out that there isn't a lot of room there plus it seems that any aftermarket (universal) antenna just isn't able to remain exactly upright and thus, looks half arse.. I'm either going to have to french a new mount to the fender while I have it off or find an antenna that's made for the job.
Any of you guys have any tricks? |

Patch the hole and use the window antenna. It will look better.

why not use one of the hidden powered antennas that you can put under the dash, no holes and a cheapers front windsheild

i would also say that my 77 has the original windsheild with the antenna part built in, but i dont think it would be financially feasable to pull it and ship it
