Bucket seat question

I picked up some bucket seats and the console out of a 87 Suburban. I was wonder how hard is it to mount them i my 85 silverado any body out there ever did it. I have seen some trucks with them in it.

It's not real tough. I have a set of Blazer seats in a c10. I used two sets of pickup bench seat slides. I had to shorten the the slides at the front to install on the buckets. I used the pickup slides since they required less work than making the Burb slides match the pickup floor.

I used a set of mounting tabs from a Burb. They were cut out with extra metal all the way around. They required a little massaging with a hammer to fit, but nothing real involved.

I installed the modified slides on the seats, installed the mount tabs, and used the existing rear mount hole as a reference to find the rest of the required mounting holes.

My Blazer seats were real close, but not identical to the Burb seats I had. I think I had to shorten the rail on the slides somewhere around 1.5" to fit the buckets. On the driver side I had to slot the bracket mounting holes to get the seat centered on the column. I didn't have a set of pickup mounting tabs so I used the Burb tabs.

Overall the job wasn't too terrible.
