adding AC to a Burb...How Hard is it?
I want to add AC to a 72 Burb and I am wondering how hard it is to do this......do they make kits for these?......and can I have the dual AC(front and rear) in there?

The only thing stopping you would be MONEY. I plan to add A/C to my next burb. I will be using one of the aftermarket systems to add a/c to the dash. I don't think I will be installing the rear a/c system. Part of it is the cost of the hoses running from the front to the rear. They have to be spendy. I am guessing they will run over $300 alone and I don't know if I would trust the 30 year old ones.

How did they run the lines for the rear A/C? Was there a "T" fitting in the engine compartment?

68 Suburban,
That's how mine is, with the T fittings. My engine compartment looks kind of like a rat's nest with all of the T fittings for rear heat and rear air. All of the fittings are back by the passenger side hood hinge.

mt Al, do they run underneath the vehicle and come up in the back? Where do they come up?

They "T" off there by the heater unit under the hood. From there, they run down under the passenger side, then across to where the fourth door would have been, then up into the missing fourth door area, then under the driver's side back window/over the wheelwell, then up the rear pillar to the evaporator.
The Ts just use hose clamps. I plan on changing that when I redo mine for R-134.
