'69-'70 Cheyenne 4x4 question

Hi Guys,
About a week ago I was at a hardware store here in town, and when I went to walk outside I saw this sweet looking '69-'70 Cheyenne 10 swb 4x4 with a 8 inch lift.

It had some real meaty swampers with aluminum mags, but still in primer. It appeared to be finished besides needing to be painted. It was one of those vehicles that I just had to give it real good look over.

Was only the K5's (blazers) had badges only showing it was a 4x4, or did also the trucks & 'burbs/panels have badges showing they were also 4x4's?
TIA,
David

I think all 4X4's had the badges. But if it was a cheyenne, it would of had to been a 71 or 72.

Only the blazers got the "K" on a badge and that was 2wd and 4wd. My GMC has a "4x4" emblem.

I have a '71 Cheyenne Super 4x4 swb. It has the engine size badge. My other '71 K/20 4x4 lwb has the 4x4 badge.

My '69 GMC doesn't have engine size or 4 wheel drive emblems. just the GMC 2500 V-Eight in front of the door.

Thanks for the replies.
So only the '71-'72 trucks were the only years that had the Cheyenne 4x4?
Can a '69-'70 grille bolt right up to the '71-'72 front fenders?
Thanks again,
David

Yes,the grilles are interchangable as well as the emblems.GMCs didn`t use the engine badges.Chevy used the "All Wheel Drive" badges in 69/70.They were located under the side marker light on the front fender and the optional engine badge under the model badge. In 71/72,no "All Wheel Drive" badge, optional engine badge under side marker light on front fender.
