I have a 10"x10"x3/4" hayden trans cooler that I want to install along with the radiator cooler. I'm having some difficulty in figuring our how to run the extra cooler lines without having to hack any of the radiator support. I would appreciate any pics of how any of you have tackled and conquered this task...

I installed a Hayden cooler on my truck. I didn't want to cut up my transmission cooler lines so I purchased Hayden part number 393, which is a pair of flexible hose barb fittings: one threads into the radiator, and the other attaches to the end of the cooler line.

I used bulk head fittings...worked well

I don't remember the size of my cooler, but it is a perma-cool cooler. I attached it to the front of the radiator support with 4 aluminum peices. I bought adapters to take the radiator and transmission ports to Braided Line. Also, added the thing for a tempature sending unit.

I just realized that the bulk head fittings only fit with out the battery located in the front. Until I moved the battery to the back I had it run like low69cst.

i just used a a/c condenser(now thats a freakin cooler) i just ran 3/8 braided line from my tranny to the cooler

i used pcv grommits and bored holes in the core support to run the hoses through. no cut hoses and was cheap

I used the AC condensor mounting brackets from a 1971 Monte Carlo that I parted out. I can't remember what brand of cooler I used but it works good.

This photo is a view looking down on the cooler with the radiator on your right. The black thingie on the left of the cooler is a fan controlled by a switch on the dash.

This is the passenger side behind the grille. I put a tranny filter in here. I ran my tranny lines straight to the cooler and filter and plugged the radiator. It doesn't get that cold here and I can get away without running the lines through the radiator for heating in the winter.
