1972 4x2 4x4 conversion
I have inherited a 1972 Super Cheyene 4x4 that has a cab with a lot of rust (doors, lower door posts, lower fenders, and several dents on the outside of the bed.
My question is: Can I purchase a rust free 1/2 ton long bed and use the 4x4 running gear of my fathers P/U, and what major problems will I have. Thanks for your help in advance. Looks like a great site. Larry Winder

going from a 2x4 to a 4x4 is major work and ussually not worth the time. I would swap all the good sheetmetal to the 4x4 from a 2x4.
