Truck wont turn off!

Ok so I re-wired my truck with a painless kit, and it starts fine no problems, but now I can turn and take the key out and it still runs. I have the pigtail on the back of the key cylender hooked up right and the batt terminal on my HEI is plugged in correctly, what else could it be? isnt the Batt Connection on the HEI suposed to be disconnected to kill the engine? or is there something else that would keep it running?

You are right, the batt wire is supposed to be switched which will kill the engine. Double check that everything is wired up and installed right, then call painless in the morning.

The way these kits are, the only thing that you could possibly wire wrong is the Tach and Batt could be switched, other than that the kit is pretty much sailor proof. (having flashback)

i had this happen on a truck that had factory wires. turned out to be the pos batt cable was resting on the ramhorn and burned through.. strage feeling to have a truck running with the keys in your hand.
