Reach up behind the light switch and there is a button push that and pull plunger.

Someone just helped me out with this the other day. You have to get behind it to the actual mechanism and there is a plunger deal on the top that you push down and then pull the switch out. It will leave your lights in the on position though, so don't forget to disconnect the battery.

pull the knob, like your turning on the lights, once the stem is out grab it with a pair of vice gripes and just snatch it out the dash!........JUST KIDDING! I HAD TO WRITE THIS CAUSE SOME ONE DID THIS THE OTHER DAY, AND I DO THE SAME THING WHEN I GET FRUSTRATED
THERE IS A BUTTON ON TOP OF SWITCH BEHIND DASH PANAL

If you turn the lights on first then reach up and push in the little button, now pull the shaft out. It should come out easy.
