Saved on the gas money by not going anywhere and did some finishing touches on the engine and coated the bed with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator.......

Looks good. It's been a good weekend to stay home. Unfortunately I did not. Had to attend a wedding (not mine).

I found something by chance while driving north for work on a saturday morning. It was sitting in the driveway of a guy who was setting up for a garage sale. I looked it over, then bought a hammer drill and thought about it for the next 5 hours or so. I called the wife, for a second opinion, she said if I thought it was worth it, go for it. (She has her moments) So I stopped on the way home and I'm the proud owner of a mini bike of unknown pedigree. If anyone knows who made this thing, please contact me. Anyway, I've wanted one since I was a kid, my 9 year old son thinks I'm cool for a day or so, my 13 year old girl could care less, though she did have a rather large grin after riding it a bit (she almost hit a telephone pole). Anyway, I like it.

I'm thinking on doing the wells. The rest of the bed doesn't have any surface rust on it like the floor did. I plan on putting some kind of do-it-yourself bed liner in it after painting the truck.....not planning on a show piece here, just a looker and driver.

My weekend went long, last week end and this one. So I'll pack it into one, last weekend bought trailer( non stop driving to pick up ) and installed soft hinged cover, this weekend said bye bye to heater, and removed about 100lbs. of excess stereo equipment. I'll also throw in a pic of my bike that the consultant I work with bought me to say thanks for making his life easy.

Hey 71Dragtruck did you make those heater covers or buy them? I pulled my heater over the weekend too and figured I would make exactly what you have but if I can just buy it that would be easier.

I cut a huge tree down before it fell on my livingroom, and packed away 3 rick of firewood for winter.
Would much rather have worked on my truck though
