lowering question
I just bought a 68 with 3 inches in front and 4 inches in rear. springs in front and blocks and springs in rear.
Question is it sits about 1/2 to 1 inch lower on drivers side front and rear and when you sit in it it really squats on drivers side Is this from cheap shocks or is it just broke in on driver side more about 7 months on lowering and only driver has ever been in it.

It's a catastrophic success.

Not sure if your body mounts or your springs are your problem but shocks wont have any thing to do with the ride height.Unless they are to short and are bottomed out on the up travel

Put it on a level surface and jack the rear-end with the jack under the diff. Once both rear tires are off the ground, look at the rear-end relative to the frame and take various measurements. Remember if you don't have an adjustable panhard bar the rear end is off to the right, so don't let that throw you off. Check the front with it jacked this way too. You should be able to determine if the problem is in the front or rear using this method. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably a spring issue. Check the rear U-bolt nuts too.

Could it be the infamous Chevy Lean?

frizzel what do you mean off to the right? I dont think the bar is adjustable it is higher on the passenger side and when I sit in it it really leans. The body mounts and spring are new but dont know what kind they are.
Also if the spring were new and the 200 pound guy was the only one in it driving it for a few months could the springs just be settled more on that sied? What is the chevy lean?

If you look at most Chevrolet trucks, new and old, they are all leaning one way or another, if you see a 67-72 parked at the mall, go measure both sides and you will get a diff. measurement...
Thats in most cases Jason

I agree with Frizzle Fry. If that does not work try disconnecting anything that can limit the travel of your suspension. You can disconnect the panhard bar and shocks, one at a time. If this does not work it could be the trailing arms. loosen and re-torque anything of the suspension anchor points.

does it have a sway bar in it? If not, it has ...a** lean. Means your heavy a** is making it lean!

Some/most came with a front sway bay. Yes it is in the front. Mine didn't have one and it was always slushy feeling. Threw on a 1.25 and wow what a difference.
