I posted this question in the engine section, but will ask here also. Anyone know where I can get a decent Crankshaft kit for a 350, without paying an arm and a leg? Forget Summit or Jegs....to high.....

Any automotive machine shop should be more than happy to sell you one.

My local machine shop sells a 350 crank with rod and main bearings real cheap. Last one I bought was 150 ish dollars.

I just bought one without the bearings from a machine shop for $105. With the bearings would be $125

Both Autozone and Advance have the kits listed w/ bearings (i believe) on their website. price was around $80-$100 +core.

I have NO experience with the quality.

Is your crank "toast"? Locally, I can have a crankshaft grinded for 75 bones....add bearings, & you are right around "kit price". IMO, there is no such thing as a "kit"! If you are doing a rering/ bearing job, you can end up with balance issues swapping the crank. if you are not rebalancing the engine, i would try to stick with the original crank (if its useable).......just have a local shop grind to the next undersize. I Got a 400 crank that's been machined down to fit a 350 block (=383),
cost me $300 in just the machine work alone, will sell $250 shipped USA

OUCH! The last stock 400 crank I had cut to fit a 350, was $125 in machine work. You can purchase a NEW Scat 383 crank for around $240! That was not the case a few yrs back, but that 383 is pretty popular now

Mines an older casting # from the 70's

3.75 Stroke / 2.65 Main / 2.10 Journal

1970-1980 SBC Ext. Balanced (Cast)

I dont care for these guys. I had a bad experience with them & refuse to go back after they treated me so poorly. I would also stay away from parts store crank kits. you can & will occasionally get some wierd grinds. I suggest the local machine shop affair. they are localy available if you have any problems, God forbid.

I was gonna say OUCH too.
I got my 400 crank, already machined to work with my 350 rods, for $200.
