Shifter "flop"
Still have the "three on the tree" shifter & wanna keep it- problem is, it flops about two inches lower than I like it & is still sloppy, even after I shimmed it with the nylon washers I mentioned before from the Peterbilt dealership. Is there any other way to adjust the shifter UP to get off of my right knee? Thanks, Bud

I'll check on the ccw rotation bit...unless it makes my steering wheel off-center? Don't want to heat anything up with a torch- it'll mess up the chrome!

The shifter in my 67 was insanely floppy. It ended up being the bushings for where the levers on the side of the transmission meet the rods comming off the column. I ordered up gm pn# 3975132 times 4 & it is wayyy better now. Just my 2 cents.
