Windshield
What's a fair price for a windshield(not installed). Local yard has a good one with stainless trim and I have a replacement gasket. I think I could cut the junk yard gasket with a sharp knife and save the trim along with the glass. The yard is asking $70.00. What do you think - good deal or not?????
Thanks for any and all thoughts - Bob

no. get a new one from a local glass shop. Last time I purchased one outright (several years ago) it was $130. And it was installed.

I had mine installed by SAFELITE glass..They came out to my place and actually used my old gasket as it was still good. They did not try and sell me something I did not need. And they guarantee there work.............They have a web site and you can get an estimate also............

I'm about to get a factory tinted windshield, from my favorite yard, for $50 pulled out. But, I haven't found out what installation will cost having it installed there.
Personally, if you have experience pulling windshields I'd say pull it, but if you don't, then your better off not pissing off the yard owner for busted profits. I've seen way to many guys think they can pull it and have it crack in the corners on them.
