C-notch
OK, call me crazy, but when I take my rear coils out completely and set the frame on the rear axle tubes, there is only one inch before the differential hits the bedfloor! How are you guys solving this problem? are you hacking out the floor of the bed and raising it?

I'm curious as two where you all have bought ur bags and what stlyes u run where. I was wondering what maybe a semi parts place would have, possibly cheaper.. and where are you buyin yur air valves?

Can this be done on a truck with leaf springs? Would it be strong enough to support the springd?

Jwill41, that pic of the notch I posted was on my 72 GMC, leaf truck. I did the flip kit, 2" shackles and de-arched the entire spring pack 5", no MONO LAEF crap that is the easy way out and causes severe wheel hop. Later

Low Seventy... to answer your ? on my 67 w/steel floor I raised the floor between the rear tubs approx 3-4" for clearance & on my 68 beater w/original wood floor(whats left of it anyway) I'm taking a less refined approach & letting it clearance itself as needed just driving down the road.
Another thing to consider when you start getting that far up into the frame is the C/L of the rear end actually moves foward. As measured on my beater it's only 1/2" but on my 67 it's closer to 1" & if you don't take that into account you'll ruin a tranny/u-joints in a hurry.

I also used the ECE adjustable pan hard bar. I am going to have to modify it like slammed67 did. Hopefully this helps in making your decision.
