3m Invisishield Question

Hi all, this applies to all trucks so I posted here

The shop who did my window tint offers a product called 3m Invisishield its supposed to provide rock and chip protection. Its a clear poly that is glued to the trucks hood. I want it because you cant really see it to protect the front of my trucks hood. Instead of a bugflector. Anyone had any experience with it? Im worried after a few years itll look like hell.

I had it installed on my wifes Denali XL when it was new. 34k miles later there are no chips, or peeling but it's not as clear as it once as. It doesn't look "too" bad, but it's not as clear as it was. It's still cheaper than having the hood and mirrors repainted....

Thanks for the replies

He wants 40$ installed, so Its fairly reasonable. The way I understand if it ever gets messed up it can be removed and a new one put on without hurting the paint.

WOW! That is cheap. I think I paid 250.00 to have the front of the hood, front of the fenders, and mirrors done. You better take him up on it quick....
