Looking for Camaro Tachometer
Anyone have a good, working, 73 thru 81 Camaro tachometer they want to unload? I had bought one from Evil Bay and was told it worked, but didn't. I have already done the Mod to the dash.

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
The going price that I have seen is around $25.00 + shipping. That's also what I had paid for the one off Ebay.....

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
Since when does Ebay set prices for the world? That mentality is annoying to me.Sorry,I`m just honest.Ebay prices are Ebay prices.I guess this is a reference to sellers that use Ebay as a no overhead worldwide store with buy it now prices, not auctioning.Anyway,I didn`t think $45 was a bad price, and would be insulted if it was me trying to offer you what I had to help you out.Especially after you were ripped-off.(on Ebay)
Oh yeah, was shipping free on that junk?

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
Yeh...it is mentality annoying isn't special-K?? Especially since a lot of members on this board sell and buy from there. There are good deals and bad deals. Oh, and as a matter of fact, shipping was included in that "junk".
Thanks for your venting on a thread that hasn't a thing to do about parts needed or wanted by others.......

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
I wasn`t venting.I did bring my opinion into the post,as many do here. The fact is,there was a reply by a member offering the part requested. Then, the guy doesn`t have the consideration to even acknowledge the offer.Only states what the part goes for on Ebay.Well, this ain`t Ebay, this is a website dedicated to GM trucks made up of owners of these vehicles. We help each other out in many ways.Such as offering parts that others are seeking. As well as giving information to support the purchase if needed.Just as it is against rules to comment on prices on items for sale, isn`t it improper to reply on the offered price with saying what they go for somewhere else?
I`ll watch how I word things more carefully.I usually do.

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
Steve & K,
Will you 2 shake hands and make up, the last thing any of us need is a Maryland Civil War! (that was my attempt at bringing humor in to lighten the conversation) Is this a common mod? I have a '70 Camaro tach that I have been wondering what to do with. Could somebody explain the process for me? I'm curious to see how the printed circuit would fit in to all this. Sounds like an inexpensive alternative to a Tach Dash. Take care, Mike

Re: Looking for Camaro Tachometer
Not sure exactly what`s involved in that conversion. To me,the main advantagek is it looks factory and gives you a 7 grand tach,if you need it.Yeah,cheaper,too.I have one for my shortbed.I bought it complete.
I`m cool.I just came back on it since I didn`t think my hand needed slapped.I don`t have a problem with you,70GMCer.I`m sure I`m not the only one that felt that way.
