breather question
I pulled my breather from my valve cover I found the hole is not baffled do you need a special kind of breather for an unbaffled hole? Just seems it would get a lot of oil in it?

I'd like to see a baffle in the valve cover myself, but I believe a stock breather or a good aftermarket one will have a baffle located up inside. Turn the breather upsde down and look inside. Also keep your PVC system in good wqrking order.

yes looks like the opening is only partaily open like slightly punched out sound right?
Also how can you tell if your pcv works good? Oil can not get out of the breather right? does it suck in thru the breather?

I looked my breather over just cheap chrome job from the underside looks like some of the spongey filter is saturated with oil.
The pcv makes niose when I shake it there is some oil in vaccum hose is that normal? or no? Will is suck some oil all the way up into the carb? if it does that is not good is it? Or is it such a small amount it dont matter?

The PCV system including the breather, PCV valve, hose and vacuum source need to be clean and unrestricted from kinks, carbon and such. When the engine is running and you pull out the PCV valve from the valve cover you should notice a strong vacuum at the end of the PCV valve. Depending on the mileage and condition of your engine a small amount of oil shouldn't be a problem.
