oil filler
I recently purchased valve covers for my 454. They do not have hole in them for the oil filler and pcv valve.
I have the pcv taken care of already. All i need to do is decide on the location. MY PROBLEM IS FINDING SOMETHING THAT WILL WORK FOR THE OIL FILLER SIDE. Also were is the proper location for the pcv and oil filler as far as on the engine which side and position on the valve cover. |

i may be dumb, and come off sounding mean, but you probalbly ordered the wrong ones, or maybe your intake used to have it but has been changed.

This is how they come. They give you instructions for the baffle for the pcv. It cost 25 bucks and i really dont want to buy another because the baffle will makeit hard to fill with oil.
Im wondering if i can just drill a hole and put a grommet in there.

You'll need the baffle for the PCV or you'll be sucking oil into the carb. Many of people make that mistake and wonder why their engine is using so much oil!
As for the oil fill, I would think you could just drill a hole and use one of the push in rubber caps that were used on 72ish-up engines??? I agree in that these covers are made for an engine with a fill tube. I think you could add a fill tube but that would be the extreme I suppose.
