Mine didn't have one on it from the factory. There is 2 brakets that go on the frame that you might need to get. If your truck is lowered you dont need them. Sorry dont have pic. Matt

I don't have a pic but the sway bar mounts to the arm on the lower side with a U bracket and 2 bolts on either arm. Then it mounts the same way in the frame with some brackets that you can get at the GM dealer. It's an easy upgrade wince the holes are alreads there. You can pick up sway bars an junkyards. Looks for 2wd 3/4 or 1 on for the heavier sizes. You want at least a 1 1/8" diameter size.

thank you both for the info, I have a 1ton one, but in my 74 frame it has 1 bolt hole, not 2 for the bracket to mount too.

Wrong-O,

A friend of mine told me the same thing and i tried every way you can think of to make that bar fit with out using the brackets and it's a no go situation.

And if you can get pic's id like to see it.

Those ECE frame brackets that Tx is using look good i think i can get another set of factory frame brackets and modify them like the ECE ones.

The brackets are available at the dealer, and they are not expensive. My truck did not come with them. They are riveted on if your truck came with them from the factory. It was much easier to buy them than to chisel them off a junkyard truck. If you have a lot of drop, the ECE ones are probably the way to go.

I don't have pics, but I do know that forum member Scoti has his front sway bar bolted directly to the frame. Maybe he can tell you how it's done.

For the price of the ECE lowered brackets there is no point in buying stock brackets, or building your won. They are too cheap, and the fab work is already done....
