Steel rims , which makes fit
I have a 70 longhorn, that I want to put original style rims on, with my dog dish hubcaps. I remember some sort of discussion as to some models as dodge or ford fitting, and some years did and some years didnt. I am looking for 16x8's if possible. If somebody could lend a brain for a sec, I would really appreciate the help in knowing what trucks in the junkyard I could look at for these. Keep in mind I live in Maine, so anything too old is going to be mega rusty. I have been sorta eyeballing ford rims from the 90's, they still look like they take dog dish hubcaps, and are new enough to not be rotten. Thanks in advance.

It does. Sorry I was so frikken slow.
The hub opening is a bit larget, and that scares some ppl, but I have run wheels like that, and overloaded the truvcks, and never had a problem. I have also installed a late 90's ford wheel on the old Longhorn, and fit fine other than the aformentioned hub opening. Last edited by Longhorn Man; 09-09-2002 at 12:32 AM. |

Thank you for your effort and brain cells. I hopefully will soon be able to have my Longhorn looking really like new. I hope to post pictures soon, but, if anyone wants to know, if you go to the longhorn website, and look ay a real nice 69 or 70 longhorn that is gold with a white roof, my truck is virtually identical.
