Unhappy Need Electrical Help in AUstin Tx

Does anyone in Austin have experience with electrical work? I put in a painless kit, and I still cannot get the headlights and tail lights to work. I can put the switch in the first click position, then use a piece of wire to connect the big blue wire to one of the other wires and the headlights will come on and the brake lights are much brighter as if there were tail lights on. Im just clueless when it comes to this electrical stuff.

Pics would help. Did you hook up your dimmer switch? The blue wire feeds the tan and green depending on if its on low or high beam.

Re: Need Electrical Help in AUstin Tx

I am re-doing my wiring as well, I however used the EZ Wire harness. Anyway, the thick light blueish/green wire coming from the headlight swith goes to the floor mount dimmer switch. From the dimmer switch it branches off to high beam and low beam wires that go to the front to the headlights. There is also an extra wire tied to the high beam which is the high beam indicator with goes to the dash mount light to indicate when your high beams are on.
