Back up light on in drive

Just wonderin what I have to do to get this working correctly. When I'm drivin down the road now the back up lights are on in drive instead of reverse. Is this a problem in the column or is it somethin on the trans?

Re: Back up light on in drive

It's probably your neutral safety switch. It's the horseshoe shaped device attached to the lower part of your steering column. Just loosen the two set screws, and slide it left or right to adjust the switch inside.

Pete.
