Re: OK Ken, Inquiring minds…..

Is that an EFI fuel filter on the right frame rail, or did you see something else?

I get a 700r4 and everyone complains. "They can't tow" blah bla bla

Ken gets one and nobody tells him otherwise.

Actually it's nothing really special. My brother-in-law has been building trannies for about 30 years. I told him what I needed he winked and said this should get-er-done....

I saw one too many braided lines coming down from the engine for a 77 and also what looks to be an EFI fuel filter with a Street & Performance bracket.
I’ve been installing (reinstalling) the EFI fuel system for my 77 and that shot of Ken’s truck above looks all too familiar.

Scoti.
I just found out I may have a spy inside at Stoked Out.
A guy here at the shop has a brother that works there.
We just need to find out how much beer we need to pay him to take spy photos.
Oh, and we need to find out what type of ass whipping he is prepared to endure once he gets caught.

Unhappy Re: OK Ken, Inquiring minds…..

Hey Ken,

Just so your aware of this a frind of mine just bought a '51 Ford F1 thats got the RamJet 350 in it and this is also the reason the previous owner sold it.

He can only drive it about 40 minuites and it will just shut down after about a 15 min. rest it will fire up and only go another 40 min's. and some times less.

The previous owner had a chevrolet dealership look at it cuz it's under a factory warantee and they couldn't figure it out every sensor and component thats got anything to do with the EFI system has been changed in it including the ECM and it still does this.

My friend the current owner has also had a rod shop that does alot of FI work look at it and they changed a bunch of things and checked all the normal stuff and they couldn't figure it out.

He bought the truck about 200 miles north of where we live and it took him 8 hours to get it home and it should of only taken about 2.5 hrs.

Any way i hope you dont have this kind of problem with the one you have but only time will tell.

Im not shure if this is a common problem that chevrolet is having with the RamJet 350 or if this is just an isolated problem engine that he has.

He said he is going to pull it and sell it and get something different.

Re: OK Ken, Inquiring minds…..

Really? I live there in my spare time (actually work there as well) I would be delighted to know who your "spy" is since we only have three employees.

I was leaning over the fender of Ken's truck just the other day and without a doubt I can tell you that is not the same motor that's in that truck (one on the pallet)

Now that I think about it I did see one of the monkeys with a camera the other day taking pictures of all the cars in the shop. Might be time to do a little spying myself.

On another note: For the right amount of money I will sell Ken out, brotherly love and all.......I have pictures of the actual motor in the truck...... I bet I get a e-mail from Ken real soon!

Re: OK Ken, Inquiring minds…..

I don't get all the secretcy?? Why keep it all top secret, especially to the people who are here every day...helping each other out...sharing their love for 73-87's??

Progress shots are really cool to see, and inspire many of us. We are as excited as you Ken...and just like you, we want to see the truck as it progresses.

If we can't look, neither can you.

I’ll get back with you with more info on the “spy”.

I remember Ken posting a postage stamp size pic here a while back.
It was just a tease shot of the ram horn header and a valve cover.

Now that I think about it I did see one of the monkeys with a camera the other day taking pictures of all the cars in the shop. Might be time to do a little spying myself.

Don’t be too hasty to string anyone up just yet Keith.
I just over heard a kid at the shop here talking about a brother or uncle working at Stocked Out.
It could be a bunch of BS.
But trust me I will find out the truth.

I was wondering who the spy could be also...

BTW, I have spy photos to, so I want part of the hush money. I also agree with Scoti that the pic Ken posted doesn't do it justice. Stoked Out does some awesome work, you guys Rock!

You know Chris now that you mentioned it; it has been a loooong time since I last posted any progress pics.
If the weather holds out I’ll try to drag the pile of poop out and get some shots.
Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate I’ll still try and click off a few updates for ya.

Stay tuned……
