67 hood on 72 clip
Will a 67 hood fit n a 72 front end or would I have to change the fenders as well?

you will also need the fenders to have it fit right.

We presently have 68 fenders with 70 hood and a 70 grille. It wouldn't have worked if we new it was not suppose to but it fits unnoticable for now. The truck came in (new) pieces that we fit together till we got to the Brothers chevy truck show and found we had the wrong combonation of parts. When my boy gets some money he may go with the 67 hood and grille. Good luck Ed ke6bnl

any hood will go on any year fenders if you have the right latch, the 67-68 hood will go on a 69-72 fender set BUT without modification the grill won't work at all, I have a picture I'll post later

I've allways wanted to put a 67 Cowl hood, on a stock 72 front clip. How hard will this be to make it look right?

As far as I know, you can do it but you need everything. You need the 67 rad support, fenders and hood to make it all work. I have been debating on whether the swap my 72 chevy front clip for a 67 GMC front clip. The parts are available to me, so it's in the works

An little help
To help out here, the 67-68 chevy fenders and the GMC's up to 72 (I believe) are the same, you need the correct grill top bar hood latch and hood to do this swap.
I tryed to put the 67 hood on my '69 GMC front clip and it sits too far forward. The hood latch doesn't line up and it hits the top bar of the grill so it won't close. To mate the hood up you need the correct fenders so the hood lines up, the thinner grill top bar 67-68 GMC and the 67-68 hood latch. Good luck!
