Question Who's truck has the most 'little things'?

By this, I mean little quirks or oddities about your truck for any reason...things only you really know that also come in handy for driving it...mine has the following:

*The only gear lined up on the shifter is Park
*The reverse lights only work if you hold the shifter up against the upper limit when it's in reverse
*Lockup in 4th requires flipping the toggle switch underneath the dash
*A full tank only registers as 7/8 on the gauge
*The fuse for the instrument lights has no glass
*The high-speed fan setting is disabled
*There's no cover for the dome light
*The choke is wired open

My guess is, though, my list is pretty small compared to what some of you guys can come up with, heh.

Talking

Only dash light is the gas gauge near full

Gas gauge is empty at half.. full at infifinity & beyond...

Si I can get a speeding ticket and really not know hoiw fast I was going...but I can see part of the gas guage...but still guess if I'll make it home.

My dome light is the custom version...it works bu has the 2 strips of duct tape for mouting brackets.

Passenger door locks...but won't open with a key...but it's ok...there is no outside door handle now

The heater/blower won't work at idle. but will once you get up to speed....hey that might be normal for these trucks.

May not be a first...but my window cranks are thread spools.

Oh yeah...the biggie...The steering wheel from H-LL. That is in place forever.....until I want it to stay on...then it'll probably come off in my hands.

I haven't figure out the rest of the ooopsies and little things. I haven't owned mine long enough.

Windshield washer is a momentary toggle switch under the dash.
Defrost is only working because I put a drywall screw through the side of the duct box afer pushing the flap up with a piece of wire. If you take the screw out you have all the air in the AC outlets.
She won't start in Neutral unless you lift up on the handle. Starts in P fine though, so why fix it?
Reverse lights actually work, but you have to have the shifter handle in just the right spot. Usually not worth it unless it's real dark. The first time it worked, I was trying to figure out who in the heck turned on the lights!
Rear slider trim (factory slider) is loose on one window edge. If you try to slide it shut, the trim will fall in the bed - if you're lucky. Otherwise it goes between and you have to go find it.
Oil pressure guage is sticky. Sometimes will only go to 1/8th, makes you listen a little harder for lifters clacking.
AC vent duct outside (above motor) is wired shut in the winter - killer cold otherwise.
Fuel level float clanks and jingles with a full tank.
Going around a corner with a 1/2 tank could scare the snot out of you if it sloshes just right.
Ammeter no worky. Never did, no plans to fix. Can replace alternator faster.
Passenger window lacks 4" of rolling completely down. Better than lacking 4" of up...
Glove box is just a cardboard box sitting on AC duct. Full of gas receipts, but too much of a bummer when I calculate fuel mileage.
Speedo gets real noisy when it's cold.
Tranny leaks almost enough to make me want to fix it. Maybe after I run out of drysweep...
No cover on courtesy light either. Bought a repop and it didn't fit.

Well, that's about the only things I have problems with. Wouldn't trade any of them for a new truck though. If this one ever breaks down, I can fix it.

All these lists combined are shorter than the list for my gmc.
Did anyone save the picture of the screws driven through the cab roof that holds in the head liner courticy Dompe Smokin Old Man?

I've been slowly working out my "quirks"
though I still have a few
gas gauge no worky unless you wiggle wire on sender
temp gauge no worky (might be because of low temp thermo and it's just not registering)
starts only when it feels like it

a neat one I fixed....driving down the road in the rain with the wipers, lights, and radio on. When the wipers would start to move, the radio would go off. FIxed that by re-wiring the whole truck though.

Ugh, I havent known how fast my truck is travelling at since I bought it 2 years ago. My main priority right now is getting an antenna, I have been without AM radio for half the summer. I guess it all boils down to the availibilty of the right parts at the right price.

Just a bad ground on the dash lights so I can't see what gear I'm in or what speed I'm doing and the radio/CD goes off when you push the windscreen washer, seems they share power! (Badly!) The neutral safety switch has been bypassed (no idea why, switch seems fine when I tested it with meter) and the backup lights disconected as they have been converted to UK spec turn signals with orange bulbs to pass our import checks, need to connect the wires to an auxiliary light at the back as no light when reversing at night. Maybe time for a new under dash harness!
