Re: New exhaust w/6" drop pics

If I remember, they're 1/4'' thick. Way more beefy than the originals.

Re: New exhaust w/6" drop pics

1/4"sounds more reasonable.Funny how the pics make it look heavier.

Truck looks good and the exhaust is nice. I hope you like cleaning that bumper. Cause with the exhaust exiting out the back like that you will get black crap all over it after a while.

It has to come out somewhere my friend. My old exhaust came straight out where these are somewhat angled down. I previously noticed the soot on the tailgate but I haven't really noticed a problem with the angled exit. But hell if I drive it enough to get the back sooty the whole truck probably needs a bath anyway. Thanks for the compliment.

Re: New exhaust w/6" drop pics

My exhaust comes out the side in front of the wheels. Heck by the time I get 10 minutes from home the back of the truck already has dust on the gate and bumper. These trucks need to get a bath every other day just like a office employee

Re: New exhaust w/6" drop pics

Thanks for the new pics of your "SEE TEN" as I hope my pipe install comes out as nice as yours, BTW do you have headers as I am converting my C-10 to power steering and going from three on the tree to three on the floor before I put in the headers, (clearance problems) and will drop mine 3 inches up front and 5 inches in the rear and was able to pick up some AR 17 inch Torq Thrush II wheels ($600.00 for all four!) for it. Again nice job and a very nice truck!

Re: New exhaust w/6" drop pics

Has anyone just cut out holes in the original crossmember? Thats what I'm thinking about doing to mine. If you've done it, please post pics.

Slammed67 and myself forsure have cut holes thru the existing crossmember. Just make them square if a plasma cutter is not avaible.
