Re: What did you get done?

Friday night I really don't remember what i did. Saturday night i rode around with my friends, street racing down back highways. I hate to say it but with the right tuning those 318 Dodge's with 5 spd. will run. But back to the topic, Last night i toasted the motor in my old suburban. I think im going to drive my dad's '80 rust-bucket beater 4x4 suburban, or try to talk him into letting me pull mine/his/our '72 Nova out of the shop and driving it for a few weeks. I will probably be stuck with the '80 suburban.

Re: What did you get done?

Long story short, truck lost oil presure on Sunday night last week, oil pump shaft broke, this sunday, oil pump out, but I havn't had the time to put it all back together yet. I also started doing the demolition work to my house, and now it is freezing in there.

Re: What did you get done?

Saturday, tore bench seat and carpet out, swept / blew out cab floor, put in "sound deadener". Sunday, continued sound deadener installation, installed alarm system from my recently sold firebird (in order to remote keyless the power lock kit i bought but haven't installed.)
next weekend: install door locks, then carpet, hopefully install new door panels if door trim comes in...
(77 GMC High Sierra)

Any links to easy hood locks or conversions to interior hood release?

Your 77 didn't come with an inside release? Hmm, mine did.

It should be as simple as hitting a salvage yard and scamming everything you need off a truck that has it.
