Front clip/grill questions
Bought a 69 short stepside a couple weeks ago, mostly for the drive train..... newly rebuilt 396, th350, u-joints and upgraded to front discs. Some of you may have seen this on "collectorcartraderonline" (Everett WA) a few weeks ago. This was a partially completed project truck and the po had plans to replace the cab & front clip as they are pretty much toast, due to major rust. Story was.... he recently married and the the new wife said she was now parking her car in the garage..... go figure ;-) ..... anyway, I have a parts truck, a solid 72 cab with a good front clip...... my questions, I really like and prefer the 69 grill, will it fit on the 72 fenders? If I swap in the 72 cab do I register this as a 72 or 69? I have titles for both. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Front clip/grill questions
69-72 Chevy fenders are all the same, either grill will work

Re: Front clip/grill questions
Around here you would title the cab you are using.

Re: Front clip/grill questions
Same in TN. Register according to your VIN on the cab

Re: Front clip/grill questions
Washington state says title stays with the frame when you part them out. So Says Frank (PICKMUP) from Olympia.... and he should know, he has parted more trucks than you can count.
Putting your location on your profile would help. Just remember the VIN #'s are on the frame too. So you may have to get a re-constructed title unless your numbers match up. |
