Blazer Top
I have been thinking about taking the top off of my blazer and was wondering if anybody has any ideas about the best way to do it. It is a double wall top. Anybody know how much that thing weighs. I have to come up with some idea that I can do myself. I used to have a 63 GMC stepside with a large slide in camper and I had a couple of jacks built with boat winches but I really didnt want to spend that much money. Anybody got any ideas.

I made a couple of sawhorses that were tall enough to clear the rear seat (it's above the bed rails). Then just park between them, unbolt the top, lift the back end, slide a 2x4 across from sawhorse to sawhorse. Then do the same for the front and drive away. Check out www.coloradok5.com under technical and they have a pulley system idea that seems to work well.

You could use 55 gal. drums too.

all i have to say is that they are damn heavy.
but all i do is get some beer and get 3 of my buddies to come over and help me
